Club Information
The Lewis County Radio Controllers is a non profit club formed to
promote
Radio Control Flying
and Family involvement.
We currently fly at Herren Field, the location of the Thrashing Bee
on
Buckley Rd off of Jackson Hwy about 2 miles North of Toledo, WA.
We have about 50 members who range in age from 11 years to 70+years.
We
are a non competition club with most of the members just flying for the
fun of it.
Most weekends activity can be found at the field, also there
is a group of retirees
who fly during the week on the nicest days. You
will find most types of models being flown
at the club from the smallest
electrics to 1/4 scale aircraft.
Lewis County Radio Controllers is Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)
Charter Club #2275, originated on April 18, 1986.
We have been flying at Herren Field since Sept 24, 1995.
AMA membership is needed to fly as it provides the insurance coverage
for our activities.
LCRC meetings are the second Monday of the month in
November, December,
January and March
at the IAM hall in Centralia, WA.
Meetings in May, July and September are
held at the field on the
second Sunday of the month.
Club dues are $25 per year. (includes all
interested family members, AMA needed to fly)
The dues are prorated for new members by quarters.
Membership is open to
anyone with an interest in Radio Control.
