| Lots of ARF's do
not have a strong enough landing gear for flying off a grass field.
Here are a couple of changes I made to the Hyperion Birddog. I used 1/8 carbon fiber rods to tie the landing gear blocks into the firewall and to brace up the cabin structure. I have a 12 inch 1/8 inch drill that I drill through the formers with and then insert the rods. I have used this method on several ARF's and it works pretty well. Alan Piercy |
